Chris has been practicing physical therapy since 2001. He is an Orthopedic Certified Specialist and Certified Performance Specialist, with a special interest in spine, manual therapy, and functional movements. He is Manual Therapy Certified through the University of St. Augustine and a lab consultant at UAB PT School. He has a particular interest in sports performance for runners and golfers.
Fun Fact: In the past, Chris worked with golfers on the PGA Champions Tour.
Kristen graduated from UAB with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy after earning her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Auburn University. She is experienced in outpatient orthopedics, sports medicine, and manual therapy with a focus on sports-related injuries. She is a Certified Performance Specialist and has taken courses in baseball players, dry needling, and lumbopelvic mobilization/manipulation.
Fun Fact: Kristen can twirl fire and knives!
Julie earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from UAB after graduating from Auburn University with a degree in Exercise Science. She has an interest in manual therapy for spinal dysfunction and has done continuing education in mobilization with movement, dry needling, and yoga.
Fun Fact: If Julie had to pick another career, she would be a dermatologist.
Callie graduated from Samford University with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy via their fast-track program. She is certified in functional dry needling and has a special interest in manual therapy. She has clinical experience in pediatric physical therapy and enjoys working with youth sports athletes. She also speaks Spanish.
Fun Fact: Callie has recently become a big Formula 1 fan and plans to attend a Grand Prix next year.
Chris earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center after graduating from UAB with a degree in kinesiology. He has special interests in manual therapy, sports rehab, vestibular treatment, and concussion management.
Fun Fact: Chris has visited 9 national parks and plans to one day visit all 63.
Will earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from UAB after graduating from the University of Montevallo with a degree in kinesiology. He has clinical experience in pediatric physical therapy and a special interest in manual therapy. He is married with 3 children and enjoys backpacking and watching English soccer.
Fun Fact: Despite growing up in the middle of Alabama, Will pulls for the Ole Miss Rebels.
Ellen practiced physical therapy from 1979 until her retirement from patient care in 2019. She remains involved in clinic management and covers patient treatments as needed. She is an Orthopedic Certified Specialist with a special interest in spine and manual therapy, and a guest lecturer at UAB PT School. She has served on both State and National Physical Therapy Association Boards.
Fun Fact: Ellen's high school career test predicted she'd be a hairdresser or a PT!
Scott worked in acute care rehabilitation at UAB before discovering his passion for manual therapy at Birmingham PT. He has extensive training in mobilization and manipulation techniques for musculoskeletal disorders and is a lab instructor at UAB PT School.
Fun Fact: Scott was a collegiate cheerleader at Jacksonville State University.
Kelley is an Alabama native who earned a BA in Dance and a BS in Biology from Birmingham-Southern College, then completed her Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant degree at Jefferson State Community College. Her PT interests include chronic back pain, core strength, and pelvic stability. She is a certified Pilates instructor.
Fun Fact: Kelley performed modern dance with Birmingham's Southern Danceworks Company.
Chameya graduated from Lawson State Community College with an Associate's in Psychology and is finishing her Bachelor's in Psychology at UAB. She plans to continue her education to become an Occupational Therapist. She has always had a joy for helping people and making them smile.
Carroll was born and raised in Montgomery, AL and attended The University of Alabama beginning in 1976. She moved to Birmingham in late 2023 to be closer to her children and recently welcomed her first grandchild. In her spare time she enjoys reading, needlepoint, and spending time with her dog, Winston.
